It says "Electret Condenser Mic" on the back, and "Kenwood" on the front. - Basically, this mic functions like an MC-43, with a couple more features. It has the mic and PTT switch; it also has up/down switches on the top. There are four "extra" buttons labeled Call, VFO, MR, and PF on the front. What these four buttons do depends on the rig.
