The SR-500 has a new set of 6DQ5 finals installed. All of the electrolytic caps in the power supply and transceiver have been replaced. Some of the ceramic caps have been replaced and all of the paper caps have been replaced. The SR-500 has good output and has good sensitivity on receive but the receive audio has a gravely sounds to it. Several pics are available for serious buyers. External high current DC power supply is required (not part of this offering) Preamp relay works fine, most have failed in this radio. A very classic rig and guess what it has AM mode! I have made many contacts with this radio and received great audio reports. Cabinet has some scratches from its history. Front panel looks nice. If you getting into the hobby or need a nice back up rig, here is a good one. BTW: The rear transmit fan is a bit noisy when running. In receive, it does not run. When sold, I will delete ad.
