The display will give the indication of a DIGITAL READOUT issue of dirty pins. A very common problem with this radio. But, can be alleviated by turning the band knob back and forth. I have done the board pin cleaning several times over the years. No fun. Did not fix the problem this time. Now at my age with deteriorating dexterity. I have done my last tear down.
