The battery has a USB-C charging jack on it so you don't have to take the drop in charger when you travel, just use your phone charger. This HT also comes with a dualband whip (2m/70cm) 13 inches long for improved performance. It is a very stout antenna but also flexible. You can bend it some and it returns to the original position when done. The center section is metal, like conduit or something like that.
