The YS-500 is for transmitter power levels from 0 to 200 watts (at least 4 watts required for accurate SWR readings). Three functions provide monitoring of either forward or reflected average transmitter output power for CW, AM, FM and FSK modes, or peak envelope power (PEP) for SSB modes, and VSWR for testing and monitoring the performance of transmitting antenna systems. These little Yaesu YS meters are built like a tank. This one looks to have led a rough life but when compared against my other VHF/UHF meter, it gives the same readings.
