MFJ-1899T Portable Telescopic HF Antennas were designed specifically for the popular Yaesu FT-817/ND Multimode HF/VHF/UHF Portable Transceiver. These antennas cover all HF bands, including WARC bands, from 80 Meters to 6 Meters. They handle up to 25 Watts RF power. For our Ham Friends on other continents, these antennas also cover the 4 meter band! They are fitted with a convenient BNC connector and are approximately 5 ft., 5 in. tall when fully extended. This makes it ideal for the FT-817 or other QRP transceiver. Band changing is achieved by plugging the "wander lead" into the appropriate socket on the base coil, and then making fine tuning adjustments with the 10-section telescopic whip. Due to the amount of non-ham scammers trying to respond to the ads, I am now asking a simple question that ham operators should easily be able to answer, but scammers may not know the answer: What is the number that hams use to represent the phrase "Best Regards"? This number is typically transmitted by hams at the end of a QSO.
