MISC - Wireless Headset for Icom Offered, for your consideration, is a wireless headset with microphone and earphone. I have restored and repurposed the Plantronics product for amateur SSB/AM use. I originally provided these for some severely handicapper hams. I am amazed at the transmitted audio quality and fidelity. The microphone is noise cancelling. The wireless device has a range of up to 300’, dependent on walls and other structures. The wireless headset utilizes the transceiver’s VOX control. Installation is simple only requiring VOX adjustments, Microphone gain and compression level. Included is the base device, prewired 8-pin microphone connector, headset, earpiece, microphone and instructions for use. This device will work on virtually all Icom HF transceivers that use the 8-pin round microphone connector. I have installed a new battery to assure maximum performance.
