ANTETUNE - MFJ 941D Tuner (Versa II): From a health-challenged ham's shack. Works as it should, but no backlight for the meter. I don't even see where a wal-wart would plug in, nor a 12 VDC to run a light. Has built-in Instructions on the bottom, covered with clear tape. Looks kinda rough, bUt it does work. MISC - RADIODDITY: Purchased a New X6100 from Radioddity & a week later it arrived.As soon as I connected it I knew it had issues.It transmitted & received at the same time on whatever band or frequency you were on.Information online said it said there was an issue with the firmware & to upgrade the firmware.Myself & a friend spent over 3 hours attempting to upgrade the firmware with Zero success. RADIOHF - FT-710, IC-7300, or Complete Portable HF: Hello everyone. I recently earned my General ticket and I am looking for my first HF station. Between a new job and an upcoming move, I need a modern SDR rig that fits a portable lifestyle.
I am primarily interested in a Yaesu FT-710 or Icom IC-7300. I am also very open to a complete "go-kit" including a power supply or portable antenna. My goal is to get active with POTA and explore saltwater propagation along the coast. I’ve spent my life on the water and have a deep interest in maritime history; getting to the shoreline with a radio is how I want to start my HF journey.
I am looking to stay in the $800–$1,100 range depending on condition and included extras. If you have a well-cared-for setup that needs a new home, please reach out. I promise it will be put to great use.
