USED CUSHCRAFT A4S FOR SALE/TRADE: CUSHCRAFT A4S on Long Island, NY
All parts are here, traps, brackets, clamps, boom, elements, etc. It worked fine when i took it down, its been under a roof for 5 years. its partially disassembled, elements removed from boom ONLY. The elements/traps are as they were when antenna was in the air. I am selling as complete antenna, but as a buyer, I’d look at it for all the aluminum, ready to build as 1 or 2 single banders, etc., though I see no reason for traps not to be in working condition.
If you build antennas, you know what aluminum costs today so, I am asking $200 for this antenna. I may be open to trade for amateur radio or CB radio equipt, accessories, radio, antennas, tell me what you have. Remember, cash is king.
I WILL NOT SHIP, ‘cuz i’m not taking the rest of it apart. Though i’d prefer YOU pick it up, i MAY be able to deliver on Long Island. Call or email for any other info/negotiations.

Help and advice needed: Has anyone painted counterpoise/radials that are above ground with a non reflective paint, either spray paint or paint in a can both of which are formulated for aluminum? Krylon has a flat black aerosol camouflage paint (none in a can); Rustoleum has both aerosol spray paint and paint in a can.
Some paints can contain flakes of metal in the formulation. Most aluminum needs to be primed first with an etching paint, then painted. There are DTM direct to metal paints that need no primer.
I have a Zero Five 40-10 vertical GP with an UNUN. My XYL doesn’t like the shinny counterpoise; hence the need for paint.
Will paint effect the performance of the vertical and the counterpoise?
Any advice would be appreciated.
