called the "Brass Racer". Vibroplex says it is
the finest keying device on the market.

The metal part is brass, as one would expect
from the name. It has a triangular base about
3/8 inch thick brass, plus the brass mechanism.
All of this is on top of a very nice wood (oak I
think) base about 3/4 inch thick.

This one functions 100% as it should. Not a
scratch on the wood base, but some on the brass.
It includes a cable to your rig with a 3.5 mm (1/8
inch) stereo connector on it.

YAESU ADAPTER CABLE: This cable is surplus to my needs but I do not know what radio it was used on. It is marked for Yaesu however. The wiring on it is as followes. It has the standard 8 pin connector that mates with the radio and has 1/8th in and ¼ in female connectors. The 1/8th in connector has ground connected to pin 6, and the tip connected to pin 1 of the 8 pin connector.
The ¼ in has ground connected to pin 6 and tip to pin 5 of the 8 pin connector. Typically this adapter cable has audio input on the 1/8 in connector and PTT on the ¼ in connector. This cable should work with Heil headsets.
Be sure to check the wiring of your radio and/or rewire the adapter cable. $20 shipped.
