I have restored and repurposed the Plantronics product for amateur SSB/AM use. I originally provided these for some severely handicapper hams. I am amazed at the transmitted audio quality and fidelity. The microphone is noise cancelling. The wireless headset utilizes the transceiver’s VOX control. Installation is simple only requiring VOX adjustments, Microphone gain and compression level. Included is the Plantronics device, prewired interface cable for either Yaesu 8 pin Round or RJ-45 connector, Kenwood or Icom 8 pin round connector, headset, 9-volt wall wart and instructions for use.
