FT-710, IC-7300, or Complete Portable HF: Hello everyone. I recently earned my General ticket and I am looking for my first HF station. Between a new job and an upcoming move, I need a modern SDR rig that fits a portable lifestyle.
I am primarily interested in a Yaesu FT-710 or Icom IC-7300. I am also very open to a complete "go-kit" including a power supply or portable antenna. My goal is to get active with POTA and explore saltwater propagation along the coast. I’ve spent my life on the water and have a deep interest in maritime history; getting to the shoreline with a radio is how I want to start my HF journey.
I am looking to stay in the $800–$1,100 range depending on condition and included extras. If you have a well-cared-for setup that needs a new home, please reach out. I promise it will be put to great use.

Icom IC-745: Selling my Icom 745 radio. This was used as a backup for emergencies. It's a "oldie but goodie" model, a real workhorse. Would make a good starter radio for a new ham, an extra radio for a summer home, mobile use or a backup for your modern rig. Over 100 watts out key down, built in AC power supply or 13.8 volts DC ( DC cable not included). A heavy radio for its size means it's well made. Comes with generic hand mic, AC power cable, no box or manual, but will be well packed for shipping. Asking $350 which includes full insurance.
