I was a kenwood/yaesu guy until then.
I sent it to Elecraft for mods and updates,and used it for a year before I bought a new K3S for 6k :(
Since then it has been sitting on my shelf.
Checked it out today..made some q's,and here you go.

XLR mic cable terminates to your radio's 8 pin round or modular RJ mic jack, this is a custom cable that's wired for your radio - Icom, Yaesu, Kenwood, Xiegu, Flex, sBitx and others - let me know which one to wire to.
Phantom voltage for the mic element comes from your radio thru the mic connector, no external wall wart or phantom power supply is needed.
I like to have the boom going above with the mic hanging downward, best hands free operation with no desktop clutter - a foot switch is a great option (not included, sold separate), that's all I use here.
