Ad Number:1480076
Date Placed:03/08/20
Name:Steve
Phone Number:508-821-2993
Callsign:WZ1U
Category:ANNOUNCE
Heading:Beware! Accepting Pay Pal Family&Friends
Ad Message:If you sell an item and accept a payment through Pay Pal as Family and Friends to avoid getting hit with a Fee don't do it. From the day they receive the item up to 90 days for what ever reason buyers remorse etc. and they want to send it back and you refuse to take it back you lose. They pay you going from there credit card then the money is transfered into PayPal for the amount and then they file a charge back saying item not as described.. Your money is pulled by Pay Pal and a 90 day investigation starts by PP and the credit card company which will take 90 days to resolve. In the end the buyer wins he is protected he gets his money and the SOB keeps your item because you did not sell it on PP as Goods and services..Pay the Fee and get the protection. I know because it happen to me by a Ham in Wyoming, Pa. He is a Professional scammer and knows how to play the system...Figured I mention this to save you any grief.

Your Response to this Ad:

Due to the amount of non-ham scammers trying to respond to the ads, I am now asking a simple question that ham operators should easily be able to answer, but scammers may not know the answer: What is the number that hams use to represent the phrase "Best Regards"? This number is typically transmitted by hams at the end of a QSO.
Best Regards:
