Ad Number:1547897
Date Placed:07/20/21
Name:Ed McKnight
Phone Number:e-mail only
Callsign:W7LW
Category:MISC
Heading:Hacksaw blade Morse key
Ad Message:W7LW Ladybug hacksaw blade key. This one is the last of the bunch (there were 7), it was the one I was keeping (I thought it was #001, but is #004), but, due to age, decided to sell it.
I can’t see that I will be making anymore of these, but one never knows, especially at age 81 and being “Woke,” which happens every morning at about 6am.
These are somewhat adjustable and have a nice light touch; they are not Cooties, but are (non-iambic) paddle keys. If nothing else, they are unique comment generators and also do a great job as paper weights, in addition, they are very quiet mechanically speaking; no clicks or clacks. They are weighted, lay flat and, like me, don’t move around.
I only use a bench drill press, Dremel tool, miter saw, calipers, vise and simple hand tools; no high-end anything, including me. They are very time consuming to make. The labor rate is equivalent to my very first job and hourly rate in 1954; pin setting in a bowling alley. $150.00

Your Response to this Ad:

Due to the amount of non-ham scammers trying to respond to the ads, I am now asking a simple question that ham operators should easily be able to answer, but scammers may not know the answer: What is the number that hams use to represent the phrase "Best Regards"? This number is typically transmitted by hams at the end of a QSO.
Best Regards:
