Ad Number:1640070
Date Placed:05/26/23
Name:David McFarland
Phone Number:E-MAIL ONLY
Callsign:KC9UKD
Category:RADIOVHF
Heading:KENWOOD TM-201B 2 METER
Ad Message:KENWOOD TM-201B $70 OBO SHIPPED This ad is for a vintage Kenwood TM-201B 2-meter FM Transceiver, serial # 810255. It is in good physical and operational condition. The display is bright. I was able to hear several local Repeaters and checked into a local net 145.330 88.5 tone. I measured the transmitter output from 144 to 148 MHz at 45 watts and 3.5 watts into a resistive 50 ohm load. I replaced the Keep Alive battery and the memory works. This transceiver does not have an internal speaker, but I have included a small speaker. It also has Tones using a small circuit board mounted in the right front corner under the top lid. A single tone frequency can be set by adjusting the small potentiometer, now set at 88.5. A Kenwood microphone, small speaker, and a short power cable is included. The UP and Down and PTT buttons only work on this microphone. Due to the age of this item it is being sold As Is! Shipping only in the U.S. and payment by check or money order only.

Your Response to this Ad:

Due to the amount of non-ham scammers trying to respond to the ads, I am now asking a simple question that ham operators should easily be able to answer, but scammers may not know the answer: What is the number that hams use to represent the phrase "Best Regards"? This number is typically transmitted by hams at the end of a QSO.
Best Regards:
