This is not one of those "As is", 'I found it in a barn sales, I don't know how to test it' .
This is a home made handie talkie based on W2MYE's 1950's design. The design circuits are included.
Last time i used it i got 10 miles across town.
It uses a 958 Acorn tube and one 1S4 tube. It has a Stancor Transceiver transformer A3833.
The power output is about 100 milliwatts.
It has a built in collapsible 19 inch whip. It has a super regen receiver. The frequency range is about 144 to 148 MHz.
It runs on 2 - 1.5V cells and 8 - 9V batteries.
The Handie Talkie weighs 3 pounds.
Guaranteed for 30 days.
You must have a valid FCC Amateur Radio License to transmit on this unit when the antenna is extended.

Due to the amount of non-ham scammers trying to respond to the ads, I am now asking a simple question that ham operators should easily be able to answer, but scammers may not know the answer: What is the number that hams use to represent the phrase "Best Regards"? This number is typically transmitted by hams at the end of a QSO.
