Ad Message:	I have for sale a FT-857DM. This is the Japanese version of the 857. I can not find any info on how to modify this radio back to U.S. specs. I used it on 2 meter sideband with excellent results. The 2 meter coverage is only 144 to 146 MHz. It will not work above 146. Does 50 watts on 2m The 70 cm coverage is only 430 to 440 MHz. It will not work above 440. Does 20 watts on 70 cm On Hf, it has about 95% U.S. coverage. It works great on HF, over 100 watts The body is in good condition, very few scratches The Control head is in excellent condition, no lines, no defects. I am no longer running it mobile so it is up for sale. This sale includes the following: 1. Yaesu FT-857DM Transceiver 2. MH-31 hand mike 3. Mobile mounting bracket with screws 4. D.C. power plug 5. Due to the amount of non-ham scammers trying to respond to the ads, I am now asking a simple question that ham operators should easily be able to answer, but scammers may not know the answer: What is the number that hams use to represent the phrase "Best Regards"? This number is typically transmitted by hams at the end of a QSO.
