Ad Number:1766300
Date Placed:04/27/26
Name:Louis F. Linden
Phone Number:410-727-7543
Callsign:KI5TD
Category:RADIOANQ
Heading:FOR SALE: Hallicrafters SX-88 #506
Ad Message:This unit has been in a garage for an unknown period of time. It is physically intact although the front bezel has warped. That and the serial number indicate that it was built late in the first production run. I have read that there are only 100 of these radios still in existence. The main tuning dial glass is M.I.A. Main tuning works flawlessly; band spread tuning has some binding. The radio is located in Baltimore. It weighs 75 lb. The owner of the garage plugged it in and turned it on before I could stop him. No lights came on, and more importantly, no smoke came out. $1,000 Come and get the rarest of Hallicrafters receivers.

Your Response to this Ad:

Due to the amount of non-ham scammers trying to respond to the ads, I am now asking a simple question that ham operators should easily be able to answer, but scammers may not know the answer: What is the number that hams use to represent the phrase "Best Regards"? This number is typically transmitted by hams at the end of a QSO.
Best Regards:
