Ad Number:1768206
Date Placed:05/16/26
Name:Steven Gregory
Phone Number:E-Mail Only
Callsign:AB8IA
Category:RADIOANQ
Heading:FS: Heathkit Mohican GC-1A Receiver
Ad Message:This is a 60-year-old radio, so I replaced the electrolytics, reworked some of the wiring, and touched up a few solder joints. It has been cleaned inside and out, lubricated, and all the visible hardware has been replaced. It has some rust spots in the back that are not easily visible. The paint is a little rough in spots, with a few scuffs and scratches, but overall, it looks nice. It aligned nicely, and the dial Cal is very good. The ANT TRIM and BANDSWITCH controls are a little tight. With the close spacing of the front panel controls and small knob, the band switch can be a chore to turn. So, I added a long set screw and spacer to the knob to aid in rotation. It can be removed, and I will include the original set screw with the set. The front panel and dial are excellent. It has the internal AC supply, but no DC adapter. $125.00 shipped in the CONUS. $10.00 extra west of the Mississippi. Postal M/O only. See photo. I have additional photos if necessary.

Your Response to this Ad:

Due to the amount of non-ham scammers trying to respond to the ads, I am now asking a simple question that ham operators should easily be able to answer, but scammers may not know the answer: What is the number that hams use to represent the phrase "Best Regards"? This number is typically transmitted by hams at the end of a QSO.
Best Regards:
