 RADIOVHF - Going UHF/VHF appleciat Recommendations
- Ham with macular degeneration and expecting to best sightless soon needs recommendations for a easily programmable UHF/VHF rig to operate sightless. My vision is now only 10% and going fast. Hope to soon leave Florida and move to trianle of North Carolina. Will no longer operate low bands, but would like to hear what kind of base or portable UHF/VHF rig i could operate easily. Would like your suggestions, been a ham since 1970 and would like to stay on the air. I have lost 90 percent of my vision, so sorry about typos. Also looking for 2,500 sq. ft. home in thetriangle are for three disabled family members.

- POWERSUP - ASTRON RM-50M-BB RACK MOUNT SUPPLY
- FOR SALE: Astron RM-50M-BB 12 volt 50 amp rack mount power supply. This power supply also has the battery back-up option. There's also a provision to parallel two supplies if needed. Tested and working. Some minor scratches on the covers from prior installation. Small area at the rear of the top cover has some paint peeling. It almost looks like Astron's painter may have messed up. It's not bad, and the entire cover can easily be resprayed if desired. That spot has been touched up for now. Front panel looks nice. The on-off switch light works fine.
Output voltage, and voltmeter / ammeter accuracy easily adjustable by internal pots. Copies of the manual are on various online sites.

- FOR SALE: Great looking 250 channel, 5 watt, VHF Kenwood TK-280 version 2 portable radio. Covers 136 to 162 MHz. (Weather channels can be programmed and work in this radio). Has programmable PL, DPL, time-out timer, scan, wide and narrow band capable, alpha-numeric display, and a nice selection of other features and programmable options. Radio is in excellent condition!
Bench tested and ready to go. Includes antenna, brand new rapid charger, belt clip, and a new battery. Currently has some ham, public service and weather frequencies programmed into it. No programming available by me.

- RADIOVHF - KENWOOD TK-6110 w/ ACCESSORIES
- FOR SALE: Nice looking 32 channel, 70 watt Kenwood TK-6110 low band mobile radio. This radio is in very good condition, showing very little wear. Front panel is very nice. Bench tested and is up to specs. This K2 model covers 35 to 50 MHz (NOTE: this radio can be programmed and works down to approx 31 MHz as it sits now). Some hams have these modified and working well on 6 and 10 meters using KPG-59X software and slight realignments. There are several web pages dedicated to these radios. Free programming (31 to 50 MHz) available by myself.
This radio comes with a clean KMC-27B mic with clip, new power cord, and a new mounting bracket with hardware.
