This rotator, controller and cable are all New, Old Stock. It was purchased with intent and plans to use it, but never was. It has been in storage since then. Very recently, the rotator was disassembled, the old grease and oil cleaned out and new white lithium grease put in. Then it was re-assembled and tested multiple times over the full 360 degree rotation range. It has very smooth and quiet operation. If desired, I can send a 1 minute video file of a full rotation.
Included are both the upper and lower mast clamps and all hardware. Also included is 75 feet of 8 conductor rotator cable that has 2 X #18 wires and 6 X #22 wires. A printed owner’s manual with installation, use instructions, parts list and schematic is included. See the picture in this listing. Other pictures are available. - Kenwood TR-2500 FM Vintage Handheld Transcieve with Modified Battery.
This cool piece of vintage Kenwood tech comes with a built in tone encoder and working LiPo battery. The unit itself is in almost perfect cosmetic condition. It has been fully disassembled, cleaned, and put back together with the utmost care. The display and tone encoder work perfectly.
The squelch circuit does not work properly when warm. It will allow static through at a reduced volume.
The battery is a small lithium polymer battery that will run the HT with medium use for about a day.
To charge the included battery you will need any cheap 2 cell lipo battery charger. They are cheap and easy to find.
