This is a well used 1927 Vibroplex Standard that is fully operational. Not restored, so it has the original patina, well polished through time. It comes in its case that is functional, the leather handle broke some time ago in use, then the replacement fabric handle parted its ways. Hey, it's almost a century old.
This will be packed so it won't bounce around in the case.

Up for sale is a "Western Union" Vibroplex Morse code key adapter cable to plug into a straight key. This is so a telegraph operator can bring in their own key and plug it into the company owned straight key.
It is branded "W.U.TEL Co", which I assume stands for Western Union Telegraph Co. It is 38" LOA from the tip to the the ring connectors. There is a shrink wrap patch near one on the ring connectors.
These are pretty rare in this condition, and it works perfectly.

Thus is a relatively rare late version of the Cedar Rapids Semi-Automanti (Bug) key by the Electric Specialty Mfg Co. Which is still in business BTW.. It came to me missing the finger piece, so I crafted a guitar pick as a replacement. It is missing an old school pan head screw holding the bumper. I may be able to find one, still looking. The feet are after market.
It works well and has 2 weights for fine tuning the speed.
It is accompanied by the J. H. Bunnell "Students Manual for the Practical Instruction of Learners of Telegraphy" Whew, that's a long title. I believe it to be an original copy full of exciting material for telegraphers of the time.
