- I am selling my Yaesu FT-847 HF & V/U Band transceiver. It is in excellent condition. Stock ceramic RX filter has been replaced with International Radio SSB and CW filters ($296 in 2000)(The picture makes the display look darker than it actually is.).

Remember these helpful clues!
As Scott has said more than once, state in your listing that you will only reply back to inquiries sent thru QTH.com and if they don’t then that’s your first clue. If the person responds back through QTH.com it will at least give you a chance to check their ISP location against their QRZ.com listed location. If it doesn’t match that’s your second clue! Also see if the email address they are using matches their QRZ.com listed email address. If the email address does not match that’s your third clue.
These scammers can use fake call signs, usually a call sign of a person who didn’t list their email address on their QRZ.com info. They create and use a fake email address using that persons name and often it even includes that same persons call letters in a long email address string, SO BE CAREFUL!
