 RADIOHF - Scammers
- The amount of scammers showing up here has become perplexing!
Remember these helpful clues!
As Scott has said more than once, state in your listing that you will only reply back to inquiries sent thru QTH.com and if they don’t then that’s your first clue. If the person responds back through QTH.com it will at least give you a chance to check their ISP location against their QRZ.com listed location. If it doesn’t match that’s your second clue! Also see if the email address they are using matches their QRZ.com listed email address. If the email address does not match that’s your third clue.
These scammers can use fake call signs, usually a call sign of a person who didn’t list their email address on their QRZ.com info. They create and use a fake email address using that persons name and often it even includes that same persons call letters in a long email address string, SO BE CAREFUL!

- RADIOHF - Hallicrafters SX-42 and Halli Reproducer
- Clean, WORKING SX-42 receiver with Reproducer speaker. Have video of it receiving WWV on 15 MHz with 2 foot wire on floor in garage. Will need to be gone through but working and with very little hum. Original, no mods and I have owned for 34 years. Been in closet most of last ten years. Front panel is 9. /10. Cabinet is 8.5 / 10. Reproducer front panel is 9.5, cabinet has scuffs and a few rust spots but a repaint would make it look very nice. as is it’s a 6/ 10. Still presentable.
Sold As-Is, no returns due to age ( it’s as old as me!?). Cannot ship as too heavy but will meet within 100 miles of Portland OR. $425 OBO for both units. Can deliver to Swaptoberfest this Sat Oct 18 in Rickreall, OR. I have owned four of these fine receivers and this was the best sounding and best cosmetics. Only respond via QTH.com.
