- Larkin VHF 1 KW amplifier I have several of these for sale if you like doing moon bounce or long distance EME this might be the amp for you. This amp came out of a LARKIN TV transmitter it is in the 156.500 mhz and its not that hard to convert in to the ham vhf band there is plenty of information on the internet on converting the amp to be used in the VHF ham bands. I have available for sale a BIRD 2500 watt dummy load, model 8890-300. This is rated at 2500 watts CONTINUOUS DUTY - - no time limit at 2500 watts. It currently has an N female connector on the load, but I can change that to a UHF(SO-239) or an HN or even an LC if you prefer. The load's SWR is under 1.1 at 1 GHz, and under 1.3 at 2.4 GHZ. It has the Shipping plug installed. The Breather plug is included, and attached to the Shipping plug with a short chain.

My asking price is $1200 plus shipping, or I can deliver it to you at any local hamfest. This is very heavy, almost 60 pounds, so shipping will be expensive. I travel to many hamfests in the mid-Atlantic area, so delivery is possible to save the shipping cost.
