- Hello everyone.
This one is a Collins lineal amp. It is unmolested(no mods) although the 811 tubes had been replaced with Svetlana tubes 572B(no more than 5hrs) making it easy in the P/S and they are more forgiving). Power supply still factory original. It loads 700+ watts of power with 80wtts drive. Cosmetically is about 80 percent. I have owned this amplifier for 25+years. Packaging and shipping is doable but it will cost probably a good 100+dollars, or you are welcome to pick up at my Qth in Brandon FL( willing to drive 100 miles from Tampa to meet,.) I will include a copy of the manual. The price of the unit is $650,00 plus shipping and packing. More photos available upon request. payment payPal friends& family usps M/O for check untill it clear. - RADIOANQ - Collins 51S-1
- Collins 51S-1 Works fine on all bands except 3, 20, and 26 MHz and appears to either have dead crystal or need alignment on those frequencies. All other frequences are as s/n as expected and receive well. The readout dial was changed to a LED block of 48 led bulbs. The added components were a 12 volt supply, a 12 volt transformer and a mjni fan. only 2 extea holes were drilled into the internal holding brace inside the chassis and double sided removable tape wase used for mounting except for the power supply. All removed parts will be included with manual. The complete above conversion is reversible to original condition. Condition of this unit iis 9 to 9-1/2 out of 10 for case, trim ring, front panel, and chassis. Pictures on request. $850 + shipping and insurance.
