WKUSB, with a WinKeyer IC, is K1EL's original CW interface for the PC. It provides a convenient way to connect your PC to an amateur radio transceiver and send Morse both under computer control and by iambic paddle. Morse keying that is generated by a PC based application is prone to timing problems that are a result of the multitasking nature of Windows and other operating systems. All it takes is a long disk search or slow peripheral access to upset the intricate timing of Morse letters. This shows up even more at higher speeds such as you would find in a CW contest. Winkeyer replaces PC generated Morse and produces perfectly timed elements at speeds up to 99 WPM. - PENDING PAYMENT - Offering a Bencher dual-lever iambic paddle key with black powder-coated solid steel base. Features adjustable spring tension and contact spacing. Key is in mint condition and works perfectly. It includes the allen wrench used for making adjustments. I was going to use this key for POTA which is why it is wired with a 3.5mm female plug and has a hard-shell carrying case, but it never made it out into the field.
The key itself weighs approximately 3 lbs, which provides stability while in use. The top just slides over the base on the hard case and needs to be secured during transport; it will be held together with rubber bands for shipping.
