An excellent performing receiver, the CR-1 is a SDR (software defined radio), but does not require a computer. The CR-1 uses embedded digital signal processing technology that provides a high degree of portability and performance. Coverage includes: 500 kHz-30 MHz, 64-260 MHz and 437-468 MHz in AM, SSB, CW, WBFM, NBFM modes. 64 memories (8x8) are available. Memory and spectrum scanning are available on HF. - RADIOHF - F.S. LOWE HF-150 HF RECEIVER W/ AM SYNC
- I have owned this rugged 30KHz to 30MHz receiver for some time. Condition is excellent. Do not be biased by its simple front panel. Designer John Thorpe managed to do a LOT with (2) knobs and (3) pushbuttons. For you AM guys, the RX has (4) AM Synchronous detection modes and (2) regular envelope detection AM modes.
For USB/LSB and CW the radio uses the 2.7KHz filter. The HF-150 may be operated by a wall supply (I am inlcuding a noise free analog supply) or the rechargeable internal supply. A switch on the rear chooses between 50 Ohms, a built in whip preamplifier or an attenuator. The whip and its associated preamp act as an active antenna and works extremely well. I have added blue backlighting which makes using the RX in low light a joy. The backlighting draws only 1mA. Also included is a spiral manual that has the operation, service manuals and other articles on the HF-150. These receivers are built like a tank. More photos available. $450 + shipping from NC.
