- RADIOANQ - FS: Lafayette HA-230 Receiver
- Lafayette receiver model HA-230. This is a quality receiver built by Trio Kenwood. RF amp and two IF tubes. Receives on all bands but lower than normal sensitivity and AVC does not work. Works best with noise blanker on. I will include new poly type caps (1x .05uF & 5x .01uF using 3 for .01uF and two in series for .005uF to replace old paper caps. I think AVC is tube issue and low sensitivity with worn out 6BA6 RF tube. The radio looks new inside & out. $80 + low cost Pirate Ship UPS postage (about $30 east of Mississippi).

The speaker is in great condition. It's on 4 rubber feet, 3.2 ohm impedance. These are intended for SSB reception but work great on AM also. Sounds much better than the larger & heavier Halli speakers. Great for any receiver having a 3 or 4 ohm output impedance. $30 takes plus only the USPS post to your zip.

- The PRO-310, manufactured from 1955-57, is the rarest Hammarlund receiver. Only about a thousand of these unusual top-of-the-line radios were made, and because of their $595 price tag and brief marketing life, relatively few found their way into amateur usage.
The PRO-310 is a 14 tube general coverage receiver that tunes .550 MHz to 35.52 MHz in six bands. A separate calibrated bandspread dial covers 20% of each band.

It is in excellent condition and delivers 140+ watts out on the lower bands and 120 to 110 watts on the upper bands, including 10 meters. It sounds great with a Shure 444D mic (Not included). I also have the matching power supply AC-4 with a modern board installed, but that will be listed separately, probably tomorrow. Cover Photo is the unit powered-on when taken out of service when my Father(W6ZD) passed last August. Dad was an active Ham and he loved getting these vintage radios up and working at their best. This unit came from a non-smoking and no-pets shack. I will pour through all of his files and documentation to be sure you get all of what he collected regarding this unit.
Of course you understand that this is a vintage radio. Of course you know(or want to learn) the in's-n-outs of tinkering with these beauties. You understand that tubes sometimes need replacing. You embrace that troubleshooting is sometimes necessary and part of the ritual. This is all to say that I do not have the knowledge or space and testing systems to fully go through this radio - I'm a solid-state guy(KI6IBH) It is being sold as-is, where-is.
