 TEST - BIRD 2500 WATT DUMMY LOAD
- I have available for sale a BIRD 2500 watt dummy load, model 8890-300. This is rated at 2500 watts CONTINUOUS DUTY - - no time limit at 2500 watts. It currently has an N female connector on the load, but I can change that to a UHF(SO-239) or an HN if you prefer. The load's SWR is under 1.1 at 1 GHz, and under 1.3 at 2.4 GHZ. It has the Shipping plug installed. The Breather plug is included, and attached to the Shipping plug with a short chain.

My price is $1200 plus shipping, or I can deliver it to you at any local hamfest. This is very heavy, almost 60 pounds, so shipping will be expensive. In early August, I will be driving from Maryland to Connecticut, so if you can wait, I can deliver this load to you, and save you the shipping.

- I have available for sale 10, new very large feed-through ceramic insulators. The ceramic is 2 inches in diameter (at the middle) and the ceramic is 4 inches end to end. The bolt extends 3/4 of an inch at each end - - the total length of the bolt is 5-1/2 inches. This mounts through a panel, and it requires a 1-1/4 inch hole in the panel. I have 10 available. - TOWER - 3 TOWER BLOCKs
- If you work on towers with a gin-pole, you should have one of these. THINK SAFETY! The TOWER BLOCK allows you to direct the pull rope out, away from the base of the tower. This allows you to not be directly under the gin-pole should anything happen, such as the rope breaking, or an antenna coming off the end of the rope.
I have 3 TOWER BLOCKs. see the picture.
1. SOLD - - On the left is the best condition one.
2. SOLD - - In the middle is the slightly used unit.
3. On the right is the roughest unit. Some rust on the front, and the entire back plate is rusty - - a bit of surface cleaning, and a can of spray paint and this will be as good as new! The left bolt/wing-nut needs to be replaced. $40 plus shipping.
