 MISC - A.M. broadcast oscillator and ovens 
- For broadcast collectors from an estate I'm helping with:
Gates M5422 dual frequency oscillator with vacuum tube crystals for
900 and 1450 Khz. Has a 12BY7A for each frequency and a Cinch-Jones
connector for power and output(connector included).
General Electric 'crystal thermocell oscillator' oven originally on
4555.55Kc, changed at some point to 5316.7Kc per masking tape label
which also indicates temp of 60 degrees c. No thermometer.
Bliley Electric Type BC46T oven with 58 to 62 c thermometer, operates
on 10VDC at 1A. The lead seal is intact so I won't take it apart to
find out what frequency, It's not on the label.
I have no idea what these are worth. I was told recently by a collector at
a hamfest that the Bliley oscillators usually go for about $50. There are
two on Ebay, one for asking price of $30 and one for $199. Big difference.
I find nothing on either the GE oscillator nor the Gates oscillator.
I'll sell all three for $50 plus shipping.

- ANNOUNCE - MFJ Retirement.
- Not sure if anyone has been paying attention but MFJ is closing its doors to sales for now. They will keep servicing and repairing their products for a while. This closure also includes the many subsidies they also have acquired over the years. The world of ham radio is changing fast as the competition from outside the US undercuts the pricing. Some good some not so good. I wish those of MFJ well and a great retirement. Most all here have bought something from them over the years.
