RADIOHF - Wanted To Trade FTDX101D FOR TS890 I have a mint barely used FTDX101D that I would consider trading for an excellent like new TS890. I have many radios that I wanted to compare with my mainstay rig the IC 7610. FTDX101D, FTDX10, TS 590SG and vintage TS 940 as well as IC 7300. For my use the Icom 7610 suits my needs best with its dual watch capabilities. When I bought my 7610 4 years ago I really wanted another Kenwood. I was soooo disappointed that the 890 doesn't have dual receive. That left Flex...no! Or Elecraft K4 too pricey for my use.. Im keeping my IC 7610 as I like the way Icom has thought out most everything. I hear the KNWD 890 is similar in that regard. I really miss my TS-850sat. So there it is, The Yaesu 101d is going down the road after a brief experimental time. I frankly don't like the way Yaesu does things. Located near Kenosha WI. Midway between Chicago and Milwaukee.
