MISC - Need Help/Guidance on a KWM-2/A

I'd like to replace the silver face of the pto main tuning dial knob. This one has the finger hole in it and is scratched up. I've got a new replacemnt and not sure how to remove the silver insert withot damaging the knob which is perfect. Is this insert glued in? Thanks for reading. 73, N0BAV
