MISC - The New YAESU FTX1 Problems Hello my fellow ham operators. I have been a ham now for a wonderful 45 years. The hobby had been very good to me. I have been a loyal YAESU owner most of my years. I bought a new YAESU FTX1 optama. I thought finely a radio that has almost most of what I wanted in a dream radio if I was to build one. Before I go any farther let me say how hard I have worked with a few of the YAESU team to help them FIX this radio. Let me tell you. This radio needs some serious work. This is my reason for posting. I’m positive this radio will end up someday being a great radio. It is also clear that the IT and engineers need more of our help. For the ones of you that own this radio let’s post the issues you are having so other my know they are not nuts and any work around you may have come up with. This radio was released way too soon. We need to help YAESU and do the work for them and help them get a potentially great radio fixed.
