RADIOVHF - Radio use monthly fee Is this the future of ham radio. Buying a radio and having to pay a monthly charge to use its SDR software system like the Rfinder B1. As I shopped and researched the Rfinder I was surprise about the monthly subscription fee for the digital software side of this radio. Call me cheap but I was not impressed. It’s most likely hams are dumping these radios now on the used radio market but still is this the direction manufacturers are going in the future.
