Vibroplex says it is the finest keying device on the market. - The metal part is brass, as one would expect from the name. It has a triangular base about 3/8 inch thick brass, plus the brass mechanism. All of this is on top of a very nice wood (oak I think) base about 3/4 inch thick. - This one functions 100% as it should. Not a scratch on the wood base, but some on the brass.
