Key features include: Dual-section design (actually two testers in one), pre-wired sockets for common tubes of its era, can also test tubes such as compactrons, nuvistors, and 10-pin types. The 700 measures mutual conductance in its Jet-Check section, which provides a more accurate assessment of a tube's ability to amplify. Measures grid leakage and gas test, and two section testing for dual-triodes such as the 12AX7. Totally refurbished with new capacitors and solid-state rectifiers replacing the old, hot, Type 83 mercury vapor rectifier. Tube set-up charts included as well as calibration procedure.
