RADIOHF - Kenwood TS-830S, VFO and mic. $350 OBO Working TS-830S with VFO and poorly working microphone-the Heil element is very poor. One of the older but fine early complex radios and yes, this unit works. It receives as expected; no sensitivity test were performed. It transmits CW and loads and tunes properly. The meter has many functions and I see RF peak IP dip, Hi voltage and etc. No wattmeter was used. Without a mic. testing is limited. A coupling was replaced and repairs to the output tank circuit and relay connections were repaired which corrected many issues. VFO is fair to unknown. THIS NOT A PERFECT Radio BUT IT NOT A PARTS RADIO. The price reflects it age condition and many hours invested. PICK UP ONLY anywhere near Chicago. I expect honesty. And it's a AS IS deal. period.
