AMPVHF - Johnson Thunderbolt 6n2-for parts/repair I have for sale a Johnson Thunderbolt 6n2 for parts or repair. I have not tried the amplifier other than to plug it in to a 220 line and it did power up with high voltage and the fan came on and the VR tubes lit up. The amplifier looks to have been modified a little with solid state rectifiers and it has a nice Peter W Dhal replacement plate transformer. It is unfortunately missing the outer case. I bought it thinking that I would use it for parts but after it powered up and everything I decided it is too good to part out. These amplifiers work well. I have one in working condition that puts out around 750 watts on 6/2 meters. I have additional pictures if you are interested. This unit is for local pickup only. I live about 45 minutes from the Dayton Hamvention on Plain City, Ohio. I am within 5 miles of I-70 and SR-142. Price is $300.
