The unit has two very small slots on the top of the frame what cause no loss of strength in the structure.
Some have used, this type assembly, to connect a dipole at the top of a mast and using the two side holes for the dipole tie point. $20 + shipping. MISC - ANTENNA MATCHING INDUCTOR: This ceramic coil form, with link coil assembly coil wound on it was to be the matching assembly for a shortened 10 MHZ antenna. It could also be use to just add inductance to most any antenna. The form is 2.5 inces in diameter and has 32 groves for windings. The windings on the form are three turns for the Pimary link and 13 turns for the secondary winding.
