RADIOHF - Yaesu FT-857DM VHF/UHF/Hf Transceiver: I have for sale a FT-857DM. This is the Japanese version of the 857.
I can not find any info on how to modify this radio back to U.S. specs.
I used it on 2 meter sideband with excellent results.
The 2 meter coverage is only 144 to 146 MHz. It will not work above 146. Does 50 watts on 2m
The 70 cm coverage is only 430 to 440 MHz. It will not work above 440. Does 20 watts on 70 cm
On Hf, it has about 95% U.S. coverage. It works great on HF, over 100 watts
The body is in good condition, very few scratches
The Control head is in excellent condition, no lines, no defects.
I am no longer running it mobile so it is up for sale.
