QRO-2000 early s/n for parts.: I purchased this amplifier several years ago. It was a drive to meet situation. Amplifier was to work very well, but may need some minor repair. (I am sure you know where this is going.) I was not able to see it work, it was a cold day in the late winter, and we did not remove the cover. When I got it home it would arc and spark around the tube base. The high voltage seemed to be ok. The tubes were very low on power. Someone had made a 30 meter conversion to the amp. The work looked like crap. I removed it and started the tube base repair. My work got very busy and I had no time to spend with it. Now I am almost 73 and have no desire to work on this. That was also what QRO said when I contacted them. Seems this unit was made by a previous QRO Company owner. Serious reasonable offers. Nothing Laughable! QRO HF-3KDX with Spare Tubes: I have for sale a QRO HF3KDX 10-160 meter amplifier that was converted by Ray at QRO to a dual 4CX800 when the original 4CX1600 failed. That was the request of the original owner which is who I bought this amp from. 15-20 watts gets you 1500+ out and this amp will make alot more. The best way to describe this amp is it is a HF2500DX but with higher plate voltage of almost 4KV measured at the tube. It's to heavy for me to move and also to ship so the sale will be pick up at my QTH and test the amp first. Once tested and you leave with it, it is your amplifier as I can't control how you use it or abuse it. The amp comes with a spare set of 4CX800 tubes. I bought this amp about a year ago and works great. Please email through QTH system first before calling because I won't answer if I don't know who it is.
