Elecraft KPA1500 amplifier: I have for sale my Elecraft KPA1500 amplifier. I bought it along with my K4D but have not used the kpa1500 because I do not have 220v in the shack. The amp and radio was purchased from an elderly ham and he used the set only occasionally. I am happy with my Mercury Lux and Lite amps so going to sell the KPA1500. The amp comes with all original packaging items and cables.

The Henry 2K is a monster HF amplifier,
covering 80 thru 10 meters.

It uses a pair of Eimac 3-500 Z tubes,
to easily produce full legal limit (1500
Watts) with about 100 watts drive.

It is a single stage amplifier designed
for SSB, CW, FSK and AM operation. It is
a very, very rugged, heavy duty amplifier,
with an extremely rugged power supply,
with a huge power transformer, choke input
filter, and oil filled filter caps. At over
150 pounds this amplifier is "built like a
tank".

Of course all of this is in a very nice floor
console, with the power supply in the bottom
portion, and the RF portion in the top.

This one works like it should. With full
power out of the exciter, it produces
1650 watts into a dummy load.

Cosmetically it is very close to perfect.
I can not find a scratch or defect on it.

Buy it with manual for $1200.

Since it is 150 lbs, it is obviously
pick up only, near Ocala, FL.
