 Tropical Radio Telegraph Certificate
I am a amateur historian for United Fruit/Tropical Radio Telegraph. I have created a certificate for those that complete a contact with each country and island TRT had stations. This is a simple award to achieve. I created it to not only to keep maritime history alive but to raise awareness as well. The rules are:
1. Contact stations in the following:
Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, and Colombia. Also the islands of Bahamas, Cuba and Puerto Rico.
2. Any mode may be used to complete the contact.
3. If any station is located in the country/island in the above list wishes to apply for certificate, please substitute any of the following states for your DX country that had TRT stations: Florida, Louisiana or Massachusetts.
4. To apply, send a list of station contacts in text, jpg or PDF from your log, computer, or whatever is easier.
5. I will send out a digital copy to you.

 3Y0K Bouvet Dxpedittion February 2026
3Y0K Bouvet February 2026 Status Update & Request for Support
The upcoming 3Y0K DXpedition is now in its final planning stages and additional details are available on their website at https://3y0k.com/
This group is probably the strongest operator and installation team ever assembled to mount a successful operation on Bouvet. They have developed a logical, well-thought-out plan and have attempted to manage specifics down to the smallest detail. They are now asking for additional support so they can execute the operating plan. They especially aim to have a very strong presence on the lowbands.
Members of the team will be attending Visalia and Dayton and will be available to answer questions from Dxers at the ICOM and DX Engineering booths both of whom are major sponsors of 3Y0K.
Please consider supporting this operation via the links available on the homepage at the https://3y0k.com/ website. Thank you for your consideration.

WARNING DANIEL HILEMAN WX5WX is a CROOK
I noticed that Daniel Hileman WX5WX is running an ad wanting a HF Vertical Antenna. I would not trust him as far as I could throw him. Make sure if you are dealing with him, that you don't put yourself in a position where he can steal from you. I tried to give him a break and sent him some equipment without payment, and he thanked me by never paying for some of the gear that I sent to him when he was in Texas. If he wants to settle this, I am open for a solution.

 SHIPPING USING USPS "MEDIA MAIL"
I know many of us mail books and magazines, Handbooks, Callbooks and old catalogs using the US Postal Service's MEDIA MAIL (also often referred to as Book Rate). I was made aware by my local Post Office clerk that sending items that contains advertising, EVEN OLD ADS, not allowed to be mailed using Media Mail. -THE USPS PROHIBITS MAILING ITEMS BY MEDIA MAIL (PRINTED MATTER) THAT CONTAINS ANY ADVERTISING, even if the ads are really old ads (such as in old QSTs, Callbooks, and the older ARRL Handbooks). You can try to mail items with ads using Media Mail, but if the PO catches it (and the PO has the right to open Media Mail packages/envelopes to check the contents), you, or the recipient, may get a bill for the difference in postage between Media Mail and the lowest price other mail service, such as GROUND ADVANTAGE.-See this USPS link on Media Mail, Section 4.0 and 4.1.a. of http://pe.usps.com/text/dmm300/173.htm
