I have also read complaints from more than one Ham who mentions a scam that involves my call sign. So from now on, you will have two of the following options to choose from.
1. When you see an ad with my call sign, or receive a response from an ad with my call sign, click on the highlighted IP address. If the details do not list Jeffersonville Indiana as the location, then you can rest assured that it did not come from me.
2. Click the "Click to Contact" button on this message, which should put you directly in touch with me, and I will be more than happy to confirm any communication on QTH.com you are looking at, or have received.
Any legit ads that I have placed on QTH.com will have the same IP address that is found in this announcement. Unlike the scammer, the IP address does not lie.

Collins 51J4 Transformer repair video: Full days repair of the classic Collins 51J-4 receiver. Owner informed me, the radio would blow the fuse immediately, even without turning on the power switch! I suspected the main transformer. After inspecting it, yes the component was toast. The only drop in replacement is the Peter Dahl PWDP13063 made by Hammond, Canada, special order at market price. Will set you back around $300 after shipping. It has the proper dimensions to fit the chassis cavity. Mounting holes/tabs, line right up as the original, so no drilling required. I installed a surplus military turret board underneath for the wiring to terminate on. I also found the main filter capacitor and 5V4 rectifier tube were bad.

At age 73, having had major success in "homebrewing" health turn-arounds for myself and a few others so far, I've learnt a lot and am sharing this info with old-school (or new school for that matter!) hams like me who are interested in getting their mojo back,the energy, memory and even strength and reclaim some of the speed of yester-year.
