Apple gift card: Hi all, I was attempting to purchase a radio from Richard Ewing, KO7N. I was to send him the last final payment of an Apple $25 gift card. It's a long story, but suffice to say he didn't keep his agreement. So hams beware, this guy is nothing more than a scammer. He has you sending him money and then breaks his agreement with you by asking for more money. Anyway, I have this unused Apple Gift card which I will send to anyone who pays me the $25. i have pics that I can send to your phone showing this is for real. Listing #1764482 - Submitted on 04/08/26: Be care full with KI0NN. I bought the SP-2000 listed on QTH from him , he said he only took paper checks so I sent him a check direct from my bank 4/1/2025 as well as a UPS Return Tag for shipping. He told me in a text he received the UPS Label, printed it out and packed the speaker and was awaiting the check. Today is 4/9/25 and still nothing but the bank tracking said it was delivered on the 7th. I text him and he said he did not get it. Then I asked if he was sure he printed out the UPS Tag and got the box ready. He said NO he never received the UPS Label. I canceled the check. What a boon-doggle, NOW it is re-listed and he DOES take PayPal which I would have done in the first place. I have noticed off and on that a scammer is using my call sign and first name to sell and purchase things. I have also read complaints from more than one Ham who mentions a scam that involves my call sign. So from now on, you will have two of the following options to choose from.
1. When you see an ad with my call sign, or receive a response from an ad with my call sign, click on the highlighted IP address. If the details do not list Jeffersonville Indiana as the location, then you can rest assured that it did not come from me.
2. Click the "Click to Contact" button on this message, which should put you directly in touch with me, and I will be more than happy to confirm any communication on QTH.com you are looking at, or have received.
Any legit ads that I have placed on QTH.com will have the same IP address that is found in this announcement. Unlike the scammer, the IP address does not lie.
