The Kenwood MC-44 is a Hand Microphone with 16
digit DTMF Touch Tone Pad, and a round 8 pin
plug for Kenwood, Alinco, etc.

This hand mic works great on most Kenwood rigs
with the round 8 pin connector, such as the
TS-440, TM-241, TM-2530, TW-4000, and others,
including Alinco and ADI. It says "Electret
Condenser Mic" on the back, and "Kenwood" on
the front.

Basically, this mic functions like an MC-43,
with a couple more features. It has the mic
and PTT switch; it also has up/down switches
on the top. There are four "extra" buttons
labeled Call, VFO, MR, and PF on the front.
What these four buttons do depends on the rig.
There is also a "Lock" switch on the back.

Regardless if you use the four extra buttons
or not, you still have a mic that works like
an MC-43.

SM-5000 Station Monitor $150 Shipped: I have for sale a Yaesu SM-5000 Station Monitor. The SM-5000 was made to sit on top of Yaesu's famous FTDX-5000 series of radios. This is a non-working unit. There is a small burn area on the main circuit board (not on the display board - pic available upon request). I did take a good main board from another unit to test the speakers and LCD display. They both worked although the LCD display was a little dimmer than the one on my 1 year old unit. My hope is someone can repair this, has a spare main board they can use, or simply hard wire the speakers inside the unit to a 3.5MM plug (bypassing the main board) and use as a great external speaker for your FTDX-5000.
