Need Help/Guidance on a KWM-2/A: I'd like to replace the silver face of the pto main tuning dial knob. This one has the finger hole in it and is scratched up. I've got a new replacemnt and not sure how to remove the silver insert withot damaging the knob which is perfect. Is this insert glued in? The Kenwood KB-1 is well known as being a
great knob that improves the performance for
changing frequency on many different rigs.

FYI, this knob weighs 6.2 oz. The original
Kenwood tuning knob weighs only 1.8 ounces.
Of course both are made for a 1/4 inch shaft.

Kenwood MC-44 DTMF, Touch Tone Mic FS: Kenwood MC-44 DTMF, Touch Tone Mic For Sale:

The Kenwood MC-44 is a Hand Microphone with 16
digit DTMF Touch Tone Pad, and a round 8 pin
plug for Kenwood, Alinco, etc.

This hand mic works great on most Kenwood rigs
with the round 8 pin connector, such as the
TS-440, TM-241, TM-2530, TW-4000, and others,
including Alinco and ADI. It says "Electret
Condenser Mic" on the back, and "Kenwood" on
the front.

Basically, this mic functions like an MC-43,
with a couple more features. It has the mic
and PTT switch; it also has up/down switches
on the top. There are four "extra" buttons
labeled Call, VFO, MR, and PF on the front.
What these four buttons do depends on the rig.
There is also a "Lock" switch on the back.

Regardless if you use the four extra buttons
or not, you still have a mic that works like
an MC-43.
