For Sale:HQ-145: This is in pristine cosmetic condition, but it doesn't work. Noise from it tho. Too many radios and not enough time to fix it. You can pick it up in the Austin area or Northwest Houston. It has the calibrator which works, also the clock works and has the back stem and knob but not attached. An easy fix with a touch of RTV. FS: vintage RECEIVER POWER SUPPLY: Offering for sale a nice power supply for vintage receivers that need an external power supply. It is wired as a capacitor input filter and puts out 420 volts no load; 340 volts at 40 ma; 275 volts at 80 ma; and, 260 volts at 90 ma. Voltages can easily be reduced by re-wiring as a choke input filter, by using a series dropping resistor, or by putting a dropping resistor in the HV center tap. It also has a 6.3 volt filament winding which I would estimate to be 4 or 5 amps. Small 5 by 7 inch, 2 inch high, chassis and weighs about 10 pounds. Includes a 5Y3 rectifier tube. Sell for $35 plus shipping, which is less than the cost of the transformer.. Shipping cost based on your location. FS: NATIONAL HRO DIAL new(?): Here is an excellent National PW dial for the earlier HRO series of receivers. This appears to be new and was on a replacement capacitor for an unknown piece of military test equipment. Great replacement for that worn dial on your HRO. Hallicrafters SX-28 LOWER PRICE: Very nice SX-28 that has been recapped and several out of spec resistors (almost all) changed. The SX-28 works very well with very nice audio. Only thing is there is a low hum on strong signals, might be a bad tube or a leaky ceramic cap I'm not sure, not really a nuisance but wanted to be honest it is there. I'll sell this SX-28 for $300 picked up in NW Indiana. FOR SALE: Heathkit DX-60B: I have a good working DX-60B that I modified for PTT. It has new power supply filter capacitors and a new three-wire power cord. Add a mic or key, crystal or VFO, and the transmitter is ready to put on the air. The front panel is in very nice condition but the cabinet could use a repaint. Additional photos are available on request. I used this radio until a year ago when I stopped using it as a backup to my homebrew transmitter. Price is $150, cash only.
I will not ship this unit. It is available for pickup at my QTH in northern NJ or I can bring it to NEAR-Fest. I'd be happy to demonstrate it for you.
