FS: Drake R4B Receiver: This is a working radio with good sensitivity and selectivity. Frequency coverage is 80 through 10 meters (160 meters with optional crystal). Recently installed is a complete Hayseed electrolytic capacitor kit. All of the switches and pots have been cleaned with the appropriate DeOxit products, and a complete alignment per the instruction manual has been performed. Also included are seven crystals for segments of the short wave bands and an original manual.
The radio is clean overall with a few minor corrosion spots on the chassis. There are a couple of minor scuff marks on the cabinet and several of the kHz numbers on the dial behind the tuning knob are faded.

Knight Star Roamer Shortwave Receiver: I obtained this radio and before I turned it on, I replaced all the electrolytic caps with equal or greater values. The multistage canister is just for looks. 3 separate caps replaced it. I also lubricated all turning mechanisms - everything turns nicely. All tubes were checked with good ratings with a couple replaced with same or equiv units. Turned it on without any antenna and it sounds great on AM radio (attached bar antenna) with several stations coming in. I have not checked short wave bands for stations but they all have static. One thing I am noticing on AM broadcast is the S meter starts out showing a stronger reading when you first turn it on and then 5 minutes later the S meter shows the reading down.....although the radio station sounds just as loud to me. So, maybe either an instrumentation issue or sensitivity? This circuit is very simple (there's not much to it!) so someone could figure that out. Manual included. $75 includes ship. EF Johnson Viking Challenger Kit - NIB: This is a NIB, Viking Challenger Kit. I bought it about 10 years and its been stored in temp/humidity controlled environment (shack). The top flap of the box was lost at some time. I was going to build it myself but had too many other radio projects. Now, I need to downsize and let others enjoy the radio. It has not been removed from the box, at least I don't see how I could remove it without damaging the wrapper paper, etc. or ever getting it back into the same box. I prefer local pickup (Westchester County, NY) so we can remove everything from the box to meet your expectations but if you want it shipped then I will get actual UPS/Fedex costs for your QTH..
