You can power it with 13 nine volt batteries in series or 80 D cells in series or if more convenient just plus it into a normal U.S. outlet.
Current cost from Hallicrafters is infinite.
I've already had 40,000 close offers but I remain somewhat firm at my price plus shipping to any state that borders another state for this near-as-old as possible rig. It will be listed and relisted until it finds a new home so it can be put to good use.
It is helpful if you don't have a watch.
Sideband was not invented when this receiver was designed.
The cities shown on the dial of shortwave broadcast may not be accurate although the ham bands are.
It won't decode RTTY or FT8, but you can decode Morse code if the stations are not too close together.
This is a classic receiver, if you like classics. Due to knob swappers, no returns.
